Business process automation for the unglamorous wiring: quotes, invoices, approvals, onboarding, reporting — running themselves.

The problem

Someone copies numbers from an email into a spreadsheet, then into the accounting system, then messages a manager for approval. Every day. It's invisible on the P&L and enormous in aggregate.

What is business process automation, and what does Brolly.ae automate first?

Business process automation wires the steps a team repeats every day — quotes, invoices, approvals, onboarding, reporting — so data moves between systems without being re-keyed. Brolly.ae maps the real workflow before automating it, builds on n8n, Make or Python against the CRM, ERP and accounting tools a UAE business already runs, routes exceptions to a person, and has the first workflow live in three to five weeks.

What we actually build

  • Process mapping — we watch the real workflow before we automate the imagined one
  • Document intake: invoices, LPOs, trade licences, contracts → structured data
  • Approval chains with escalation, on the channel your team already uses
  • System-to-system sync — RPA where a legacy app has no API — so the same number never gets typed twice
  • Exception handling — automations that ask a human when they should
What changes
  • Hours back per person per week
  • Fewer keying errors in finance and ops
  • A process that survives someone going on leave

We baseline these before the build starts. Without a before, the after is just a claim.

Questions

Workflow & Process Automation: the questions buyers ask first

Short answers, written to stand on their own — including the ones with an uncomfortable answer.

What is the difference between workflow automation and RPA?

Workflow automation moves data between systems through their APIs — a quote accepted in the CRM raises a job in the ops system and an invoice in accounting. RPA drives a screen the way a person would, clicking and typing, and is what you use when a legacy application has no API. We default to APIs because they are faster and do not break when a button moves, and use RPA only where there is no other door.

Which process should we automate first?

The one that costs the most hours or the most errors and that a human could describe end to end. Quote-to-invoice, invoice intake and approval chains usually win because they are frequent, rule-based and visible to finance. We watch the real workflow for two days before scoping, because the documented process and the actual one are different documents.

Do we need to replace our ERP or CRM?

No. The automation runs against the systems you already log into — Zoho, Odoo, SAP, Tally, HubSpot, Salesforce, Google Workspace or Microsoft 365. New tooling is introduced only where nothing you already use can do the job. A system your team already knows is a system they will keep using after we leave.

What happens when the automation hits a case it should not decide?

It stops and asks. Every workflow has an exception queue — a margin below the floor, a document with a missing field, an approval over threshold — that routes to a named person with the source shown. The automation removes the re-keying, not the judgement, and the rules for when to ask are agreed during discovery.

How long does business process automation take?

The first workflow is live in three to five weeks after a two-week paid discovery sprint. Scaling to further processes is quoted phase by phase. The handover at the end includes runbooks and admin training, so the workflow survives the person who commissioned it going on leave.
