The problem

Leadership wants an AI plan. Six departments each want their own tool. Nobody has said out loud which of these actually pays back inside a year.

Discuss this
An opportunity audit: use cases plotted on a value-versus-feasibility grid, three chosen for a sequenced twelve-month roadmap and two placed on a no-go list

What does an AI consulting engagement with Brolly.ae produce?

An AI strategy and readiness engagement produces one agreed plan instead of six competing pilots: an opportunity audit across departments scored on value and feasibility, a data readiness review, a build-versus-buy call per use case, a costed twelve-month roadmap with owners, and a governance frame for where UAE PDPL obligations land. It takes three to four weeks and ends with an honest no-go list.

What's included

What we actually build

  • Opportunity audit across departments, scored on value and feasibility
  • AI readiness assessment — most AI projects fail on data, before any model is chosen
  • Build-vs-buy call per use case, with real numbers
  • 12-month AI strategy roadmap with sequencing, budget and owners
  • Governance: usage policy, approval flow, and where UAE PDPL obligations land
What changes
  • One agreed plan instead of six competing pilots
  • A defensible budget ask
  • Clear no-go list

We baseline these before the build starts. Without a before, the after is just a claim.

Questions

AI Strategy & Readiness: the questions buyers ask first

Short answers, written to stand on their own — including the ones with an uncomfortable answer.

Do we need an AI strategy before starting a pilot?

Not always. If one workflow obviously costs you money and the data behind it is usable, start there and skip the strategy. The engagement earns its fee when leadership wants a plan, several departments each want their own tool, and nobody has said which of them pays back inside a year. Its job is to sequence and to say no.

What does an AI readiness assessment actually check?

Whether the data a use case depends on is complete, consistently formatted, accessible without a three-week IT ticket, and clean enough that a person could work from it; whether the real workflow has been observed; who would own the system after go-live; and what number would count as success. Most pilots that stall, stall on the first of those.

Will the roadmap recommend Brolly.ae to build everything?

No. Each use case gets a build-versus-buy call with real numbers, and some of the answers will be a SaaS tool, an existing feature in software you already pay for, or 'not yet'. The roadmap is written so you can run it with any vendor. If you ask us to quote the first pilot, that is a separate, fixed-price phase.

How is the governance part handled without it becoming a legal project?

As an engineering checklist: a map of the personal data each use case touches, hosting residency decided before design, human review defined for consequential decisions, logging of inputs, outputs, model version and approver, and a one-page acceptable-use policy. It is framed against the UAE PDPL and sector rules, and your counsel reviews anything that touches regulated data.

How long does it take, and who needs to be involved?

Three to four weeks. It needs the budget owner, the heads of the departments in scope, and whoever actually knows where the data lives — usually not the same person as whoever owns it on the org chart. Two workshops, a round of interviews and a data audit, then the roadmap.
